Effective Date: June 7, 2026 | Last Updated: June 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Sean Studies LLC d/b/a Pillar Prep (“Pillar Prep,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operating the Pillar Planner platform at pillartestprep.com, collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our Services. We take your privacy seriously and aim to be transparent about what we collect and why.

1. Who This Policy Applies To

This Policy applies to visitors to our website and to account holders who use the Platform, the Course, and Tutoring. Our Services are intended for adults who are 18 or older. We do not direct the Services to children and do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and specifically not from children under 13. If you believe a minor has provided us personal information, contact us at sean@pillartestprep.com and we will delete it.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We never store your password in plain text. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and the email address associated with your Google account.

Study data. Information you enter to use the Service, including onboarding settings (exam date, hours per week, section strengths, target score), your generated study plan and task progress, practice and full-length scores you record, error-log entries, CARS review worksheets, video-lesson progress, and diagnostic results.

Images you upload. If you use the error-log image feature, the image is stored in a private storage bucket and is not publicly accessible. You can remove an uploaded image at any time by editing or deleting the related entry.

Communications. If you email us or contact support, we keep that correspondence and any information you choose to include in it.

Information Collected Automatically

We and our advertising and analytics partners use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to understand how the Services are used and to measure and deliver advertising, including advertising shown to you on other websites and platforms. This may include information such as the pages you view, the links you click, your device and browser type, and your approximate location, which may be associated with an online identifier. Basic usage information (such as timestamps recording when records are created or updated) is also captured as part of the normal operation of the Platform. Our payment processor collects the information needed to process payments.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect solely to:

We also use advertising and analytics technologies to promote the Services and measure the performance of our marketing. We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of advertising trackers (such as the Meta Pixel and Google advertising tags) may be considered a “sale” or a “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising under some state privacy laws. You can opt out as described in Sections 7 and 8.

4. How We Store and Secure Information

Your data is stored in a hosting platform running on Amazon Web Services in the United States (the us-east-2 region, located in Ohio). We rely on database-level access controls (row-level security) so that your data is accessible to your own account. Payments are handled by our payment processor; we do not receive or store your full payment card number. Our website and application are served through our hosting provider. No system is 100% secure, and while we take reasonable measures to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Third-Party Services

We use multiple service providers to operate the Services. Each processes information only as needed to provide its service and under its own privacy terms. The Services may also link to third-party content such as educator or Khan Academy videos. Those third parties handle data under their own policies, which we do not control.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services. If you would like your account and associated data permanently deleted, email sean@pillartestprep.com with the subject line “Delete my account.” We will process verified deletion requests within 30 days. Uploaded images stored in our storage bucket are deleted upon account deletion. We may retain limited information where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You can review and update much of your information directly in the Platform. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at sean@pillartestprep.com or use the cookie controls described in Section 8. Where required, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control. We will respond consistently with applicable law and may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

8. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for three purposes: (1) strictly necessary cookies that keep you signed in and operate the Platform; (2) analytics cookies that help us understand how the Services are used; and (3) advertising cookies set by partners such as Google and Meta that help us measure and deliver ads, including on other websites and platforms. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies and will provide a cookie banner with controls. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings and opt out of many advertising cookies through tools such as your Google Ads settings, your Meta ad preferences, and industry pages like optout.aboutads.info and the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page. Disabling necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Platform from working.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Policy.
