Our Retakers speak

“Honestly worth every penny.

★ TrustpilotWill
★★★★★

"After two poor MCAT attempts, my CARS score had dropped from 123 to 121. Pillar Prep curated an individualized plan to target it. Six months later, I saw a 6-point jump in CARS alone (121 to 127, 15th to 83rd percentile) and a 12-point increase overall."

Frequently asked

Your questions, answered.

How does the better-score guarantee actually work?

It is exactly what it sounds like: complete the Retaker Course in full, sit for your MCAT, and if your score does not increase over your previous official MCAT, you get 100% of your money back. The fine print is short: finish all the course activities and submit your official score report.

How is Pillar Prep different from Jack Westin, Blueprint, or MCAT Bootcamp?

Those are all built for first-time test-takers. We are built for Retakers, specifically. The Flywheel is the difference. Every question you miss gets parsed into a specific MCAT trap pattern, then fed back to you as personalized Concept Training and Trap Training. You are not consuming a generic curriculum. You are being retrained on the exact patterns that cost you points the first time.

How long does the course take?

Most students need 12 to 26 weeks and that is what we recommend. However, your Massive Action Plan generates a timeline based on your test date during onboarding. If you have less than 12 weeks, the Sprint version compresses the plan into 5 to 6 weeks. We strongly recommend taking at least 12 weeks to prepare for your retake, but we have tutored students who saw significant improvement in as little as 2 weeks.

Do I need AAMC materials too?

Yes. AAMC material is the gold standard, and Pillar Prep is built to layer around it, not replace it. Your Massive Action Plan integrates the AAMC practice tests and section banks into your daily work. Sold separately, as most Retakers already own them.

What about UWorld?

Optional. UWorld makes the best practice questions in the industry, so we include 90 days of UWorld at the discounted rate of $150. Review of your UWorld passages should be stitched into your Pillar Prep Error Log so the Flywheel keeps working on them. Most Retakers do fine without it. Pick the +UWorld plan if you do not already own UWorld and would like to complete their practice questions.

Is there a free trial?

Not currently. We point free-trial seekers to the MCAT Math Guide (free, no email required after download), the Retaker Calculator (coming soon), and the blog. The full course is built as a commitment, and the guarantee is the safety net.

What if I am only 4 weeks out from my test?

Honestly, the course probably is not the right fit on that timeline. Talk to us about tutoring instead, or the Sprint version if you have at least 5 to 6 weeks. We would rather tell you "not now" than sell you a program you cannot finish.
