Our tutors focus on providing you with personalized and extraordinary tutoring - pushing you to overcome your weaknesses and capitalize on your strengths. We never reuse lesson plans - your personal needs call for more than just a template. Each session, your tutor will happily provide you with the following:
1 hour of face to face instruction: For one hour, you and your tutor will meet via video chat in order to discuss your strategy and adjust your study plan and approach. Come with questions - you'll get comprehensive answers.
30 minutes of offline review: For 30 minutes, your tutor will go over any questions in your study portal (a Google Slide shared with you and your tutor) and input explanations, photos, articles, links and videos. This will provide you with an enormous amount of reference material after your session ends.
At Pillar Prep, our tutoring sessions are customizable for every student. We offer you the flexibility to study at your own pace, on your own schedule. You'll never be restricted by set dates or timelines. After each tutoring session, you and your tutor will coordinate to plan your next session together.
Absolutely. Our tutoring programs are focused on helping you understand MCAT logic and passage based reasoning skills. With this in mind, all of our tutors are qualified to help you with every section of the MCAT, including CARS. We'll help you hone your skills and strategies so you can take on your exam with confidence.

If you're studying for the MCAT, we'll work with you. We specialize in helping retakers and students struggling with score plateaus, but we're proud to help any student who is seeking to improve their MCAT prep.
Yes. Our tutors have helped students in all stages of their prep, even as late as the day before their exam. We'll do our best to provide the aid you need in any circumstance.
Yes. Our tutors have worked with many students on a long terms basis to create study plans, complete weekly learning activities, and review content. We enjoy building relationships with our students and helping them achieve their MCAT prep goals.
Yes. We understand the value of the time you put into your medical school dream. If you are unsatisfied with your tutoring experience for any reason, you may request to receive your money back for all remaining tutoring sessions. We require that any refund request is made within 30 days of your purchase of any tutoring package, and before the third session of your chosen tutoring package. We will subtract the price per session that you participated in (based on your plan's per-session pricing) from the total price you paid and refund you the remaining amount. Please contact us if you have any questions about our policy.
