How to use the AAMC Bite-Size 1

Bite-Size 1 is part of the official AAMC series that Pillar Prep uses as timed mini-exams. This group leans toward B/B material.

What it is

The AAMC Bite-Size series is official AAMC question material organized into six groups that can be taken as timed mini-exams. Bite-Size 1 leans toward B/B material, and like all AAMC material it reflects the real exam's passage style, reasoning demands, and distractor patterns.

Pillar Prep schedules the Bite-Size series in a fixed order under testing-like conditions. Because every Pillar student takes the same material the same way, your results can be compared against hundreds of past Retakers who took the exact same mini-exams, which is what powers the Predicted Score inside the course.

How a Retaker gets the most from it

Treat it like an exam, not a question set. Timed, one sitting, no lookups. The value of Bite-Size material is that it is short enough to schedule often and real enough to mean something.

Review with the same discipline you would give a full length. Every miss gets a written explanation in your error log: why the credited answer is right, why yours was not, and which trap pattern was involved.

If you did Bite-Size material on your first prep cycle, do not skip it now. Re-taking it under strict conditions still surfaces your current reasoning habits, and your review this time can focus on the patterns behind your misses.

Where it lands in a retake plan

Pillar Prep's plan places the Bite-Size series through the Building phase of prep, ordered so your weakest sections come first, and finishes the series before full lengths take over the schedule. Each mini-exam is followed by scheduled review blocks for the sections it covers.

The day before your first Bite-Size exam, the plan schedules a short introduction lesson so you know exactly how to run the conditions.

Pillar Prep's study plans are built around official AAMC material because it is the gold standard for MCAT practice.
