How to use the AAMC Chemistry Question Pack

Official C/P volume work with authentic AAMC distractors. Useful, as long as you know what it is calibrated to teach.

What it is

The Chemistry Question Pack is an official AAMC bank of chemistry questions supporting the C/P section, spanning general chemistry and related problem-solving.

It leans toward content application and calculation fluency rather than the heavier experimental reasoning of the Section Bank.

How a Retaker gets the most from it

Use it to build C/P calculation rhythm: setting up problems fast, estimating cleanly, and moving on. Timed blocks keep that honest.

Treat calculation misses and reasoning misses differently in review. A wrong setup is a content fix; a right setup with a wrong answer choice is usually a trap or care fix. Your error log should say which.

Pair it with mental math practice. C/P rewards students who can estimate confidently without a calculator.

Where it lands in a retake plan

Pillar Prep's plan schedules Chem Q Pack blocks as mid-prep C/P volume, sequenced with your C/P content work and before Section Bank C/P blocks take over.

Pillar Prep's study plans are built around official AAMC material because it is the gold standard for MCAT practice. If you want a personalized schedule that places every AAMC resource for you, start with the free Retaker Calculator or explore The Retaker Course.
